I began my Auto Restoration career in 1975 restoring Mercedes Benz at European Auto Werks in Salem Massachusetts. In the past Thirty years I’ve worked with Craftsmen from Massachusetts and California, learning many different metal shaping techniques and using an array of different tools. I combined the English Wheel with a shrinking tool, used the Sand Bag and Planishing Hammer and just hammered sheet metal on flat steel using heat to shrink.

A few years ago I was introduced to the Yoder Power Hammer. I discovered that when I used both the Power Hammer and the Planishing Hammer I could virtually fabricate any panel I wished, unlike the previously mentioned techniques which all have limitations.
